I believe that I have a piece of history from the Santa Claus Land that is dated back in the early 1960s. This is a small mirror case that has a mirror in it that my mom had in her ceddar chest. In her pasting I decided to go through this and this is one thing that I found. I remember going to Santa Claus land in the 1960s as a child. Can y help me with this and tell me where I need to send this piece of item to help with the history of Santa Clause Land.

This warms my heart. My age is 63 and Santa Claus, Indiana was such a big part of growing up and even after I became an adult. The memories I now cherish~

The photo was taken in Mariah Hill, Indiana by local historian, O.V. Brown. It is part of my Gr. Gr. Uncle O.V. Brown's photos and negatives that I digitalized a couple of years ago. Since all the men are blindfolded, I would assume that it is a blind wheelbarrow race. Not sure what the occasion was, but an older person from Mariah Hill would probably know. I have two companion photos taken at the same time, along with this one. One of them has a women wearing what looks like a mink coat pushing one of the wheelbarrows. I believe that someone told me that the lady is Mrs. Koch's mother, Bella Yellig. Contact me and I will send you the companion photos.
